OK, I have tried to be nice. I have called the cityfour times and left a name a number. Now I am just getting MAD. Yes, we did have a really big snow on Dec. 20. Our home had 34 inches. And it did snow every weekend since. But why were every street in a our neighborhood, and as far east and west that we have ventured off of our street and seen have been plowed? And not even one plow has ever even placed a wheel on Quay St. or 76 Pl. We have hadtwo trash trucks, a dairy truck (both with chains) and numerous personal cars stuck. The dip at the intersection of thesetwo streets must be about 12 inchesdeep. Now, I do not own an SUV or 4-wheel drive truck, just a lowly LeBaron Convertible. It does not have much ground to bottom clearance. We have taken it down the street once a week to do errands. Now it is badly in need of an alignment.
I know that myself and my neighbors have paid our taxes. Isn't cleaning our street suppose to be covered with that. If we can get up the hill to Reed St., we can get out of the neighborhood. Oh yeah, Reed has no snow on it, as well as every street between here and Wadsworth.
If anyone from the city reads this and has a heart of any size, even pea size, please send a snowplow and get us out.
Thanks

I said this and more at city council on January 8 (and the podcast is available at http://feeds.feedburner.com/CityOfArvadaCouncilMeetingPodcasts about 10 minutes in). Needless to say they thought that they did a good job. It almost makes me want to run for the job myself.

We too have an icy hill and valley excuse for a street in front of our house (78th Drive from Quail to Oak) that needs some attention from the city to break up the ice before it breaks up our cars!
