RE: Where Does Ellis Stand?
Contributed by: Matthew Nelson on 11/1/2006

If you really want to know where Affie stands then read the Rocky Mountain News Article that Cindy alluded to, but somehow forgot the hyperlink:
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/elections/article/0,2808,DRMN_24736_5094005,00.html

"Decline to Answer" in no way indicates that a candidate does not think an issue important or that the candidate has no plan or agenda. As noted in the article, many Democrats, including House Majority Leader Alice Madden didn't bother to fill out the survey at all. Should we take that to mean that they don't care about anything? Probably not.

The original attack ads were based on an error in the website that caused Affie's "Decline to Answer" to appear as "No". The ads claimed that Affie was "Opposed" because of that error. The "glitch" has been repaired so the answer now shows correctly, so they changed the ads to claim that Affie has no plans or interests in these areas. This is political spin at its worst. Don't take my word for it. If you really want to know how Affie feels, just ask her:
