"The Bus" hits Denver's Big "D"
Contributed by: Steve Gonzales on 1/20/2006

The Denver Broncos shut down Jerome " The Bus" Bettis and the rest of the Steelers offense. The "Bus" was contained to only 3 yards rushing while fumbling twice on his four carries in the game. Both of Bettis' fumbles were returned for Bronco touchdowns. The first fumble recovery was by Pro Bowl  linebacker Al Wilson for 56 yards which gave Denver a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. The second fumble by Bettis was picked up and run back 80 yards by none other than Champ Bailey the All Pro cornerback. That put the Broncos up 14-0 at the end of the first half. Denver went on to shut out the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 28-0 and will be header to Detroit for Superbowl XL.
