Jeffco League Cross Country Meet

Dakota Ridge High School hosted the Jeffco 4/5A League Championships this past Friday, October 10th. The course layout uses the open space behind the high school and around Hine Lake. Besides hosting, Dakota Ridge also won the Boys 5A meet and came in 2 nd in the Girls meet. Green Mountain's Girls brought home the 5A crown. Wheat Ridge won the Boys' 4A and Evergreen won the Girls' 4A.

Pomona's Boys team placed second behind Dakota Ridge. They had All Conference performances by Adam Sinda and Ian Harkreader, placing 3 rd and 5th. Kevin Olschner earned a second team All Conference birth with a 10 th place finish. It was a crowded finish for Kevin as he, Drew Ryther from A West, and Jimmy Mohrbacher from Dakota Ridge all posted the same finishing time. Kory Sanchez and Nate Want also scored for the Panthers. Dylan Hayes and Evan Krech rounded out Pomona's Varsity squad.

In the open division, the Panther's JV squad managed a 5 th place finish. Michael Rainey led the squad with a 5 th place finish.

The Panther's Girls Varsity team was led by Hannah Kenyon. Hannah is the only senior running for Pomona. Freshman and Sophomores make up the remainder of the squad.

This week, Pomona will host the 5A Region #3 at Adams County Fairgrounds. The meet will be Thursday, October 16th.
