Thursday, October 15, 20 Jeffco High Schools gathered in ClementPark for the 2009 Cross Country League Championships. The races were divided into 4a and 5a with a male and female race in each division. Evergreen dominated the 4a ranks taking both the boys and girls team titles. The 5a schools saw Dakota Ridge winning the boys title and GreenMountain winning the girls.

Pomona came in with high hopes but left with a second place team finish. Pomona had to seek consolation in placing two male runners in the All Conference ranks and a third runner Second Team All Conference. Adam Sinda led the Panthers and the entire 5a League with a first place finish and All Conference honors. Ian Harkreader made All Conference for the second year in a row with a seventh place finish. Logan Shefelbine was Pomona's third runner and made Second Team All Conference

This coming Thursday, October 22 nd, Pomona is hosting the 5a Region 3 Championship at the Adam's CountyFairgrounds. Up until this race, all the other races have been for bragging rights. You must compete and do well at regionals to make the State Championship race.
