All-State wide receiver Brandon Ribble, a senior at Ralston Valley High School, will play college football up at the University of Wyoming, according to his mother, Gaye.
However, it won't be as a wide receiver.
Ribble will play H-back for the Cowboys, which is similar to a tight end.
Gaye said Brandon's choice came down to Wyoming and Colorado State.
Colorado State would be closer to home and allow friends and family to see him play, but Gaye said the family atmosphere he felt in Laramie and the sense that coaches really wanted him won out.
Brandon will go on a full scholarship at Wyoming. Gaye said he also received offers from Northern Colorado and a few Division-II schools. Colorado State offered a spot as a preferred walk-on, hinting that he would be on scholarship before long.
Ribble will sign a national letter of intent on Feb. 6. Teammate Cameron Wright is expected to walk-on at the University of Colorado.
