Kevin Clark, former Denver Bronco, has become the football coach for the Arvada High Bulldogs. Clark, who was raised in the Sacramento CA area, was an All American at San Jose State from 1982 until 1986. Clark joined the Denver Broncos and played defensive back and punt returner from 1987 until 1992. He was the top punt returner in the NFL in 1990.
Clark coached in the World Football League in 1992 and 1993 under the guidance of head coach Jack Elway (John Elways' father). In 1994 and 1995, he coached at George Washington High School.
For the last two years, Clark has coached in the feeder system program of Cherry Creek High School.
Joining Clark as assistant coaches are two other former NFL players.
Tyrone Braxton, who was an outstanding player for the Denver Broncos for 14 years, will work his coaching magic in a number of areas in the program. Also working as an assistant coach will be
Quinn Dorsey who played for the New England Patriots. Dorsey will focus on working with the linemen.
Returning as assistant coaches will be
John Howes,
Matt Teagarden and
Matt Cisneros.
"Arvada High School has a long athletic tradition and I want to bring respectability back to this program. These kids are winners and they deserve to have a winning program", said Clark. Clark very much wants to bring the community together to support Arvada High School. He wants the Alumni to come back and help get the program to its winning ways.
