New 65+ Softball League
Contributed by: Phil Field on 2/13/2008

The Colorado Senior Softball Association has sponsored a senior softball league for many years. It is organized into divisions based on team skill level and is open to men and women fifty years of age and older. Since the only age requirement is to be fifty or older, teams can have players as young as fifty or as old as eighty plus. Sixty-five, seventy, or eighty year-olds playing against fifty year-olds can be intimidating or even dangerous. All of the major senior softball associations now establish their divisions by age and skill level.

A new league is being formed for players sixty-five and older. The games will be played at Clement Park, located at Bowles Avenus and Pierce Street in Jefferson County on Thursday mornings. There are currently four teams ready to play. There are four more teams that would like to join but need additional players.

If you will be sixty-five or older in 2008 and would like to play in this new league, please contact Ray Heisler at 303 279-5936 or
