Kick your Summer into high gear with some speed by participating in one of the few public track meets in Denver, the DLHS Making Track(s) Meet, on Wed., June 14. Run one, two, or all three events on the beautiful, all-weather track at Denver Lutheran High School, 3201 West Arizona Avenue (near Federal and Mississippi), Denver.
The events include an adult (ages 19+) 400 meter, one-mile, and two-mile races, and student 100 meter, 400 meter, and one-mile races. All entrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and other goodies. Awards will be given for 1st to 3rd places in each event in the following age categories: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
The schedule is: 6:30 p.m. adult and student mile; 7:00 student 100 meters; 7:30 adult 400 meters; 8:00 student 400 meters; 8:30 adult two-mile.
At this time, there is no other publicly-accessible all-weather track in the city of Denver! We hope that this new facility will encourage more residents to exercise and become fitter. This event will help raise the funds to pay for the construction of a first-class facility for everyone to enjoy.
Race fees are: adults --$15 for one race; $20 for two or all three races; students -- $10 for one race or $15 for two or all three races. Add $5 on race day. Registration forms are available at area running stores or online at
www.active.com
