Calling all bullseye basketballers

The 38th Annual Arvada Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest is back! Attention players, coaches, parents, PE teachers, playground legends and kids aged 8-13, on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 9 AM, at The Shrine of St. Anne School in Olde Town Arvada will host this great event. Arvada Elks Lodge 2278 again sponsors this free and open contest for girls and boys to test their skills and improve their game. After 25 shots, winners will be determined for advancement to the District Finals. Winners receive trophies and a free dinner for the family in an awards ceremony at the 2278 Lodge. District winners can go far-State, Regional and National Contests. National winners are permanently inducted inthe Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield (site of annual finals).

Coaches, this is an excellent chance to place your team into a healthy pressure situation and make your team better. PE Teachers, you can make this a school contest first, and send your class winners to the Hoop Shoot. Questions can be directed to Gene Schluter at 303-424-2278. BRING A COPY OF YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR OFFICIAL ID....Registration begins at 7:45 AM
