Contributed by: Young’s Market and Garden Cent on 9/4/2005

But now it's called the Garden Harvest Fair

After a four year hiatus the Garden Harvest Fair (a.k.a. vegetable contest) has returned to the Harvest Festival.  Young’s Market and Garden Center on 44th just west of Garrison will be this year’s sponsor.  With assistance from the Arvada Gardeners they have come up with a great competition in their first year.
Entries will be accepted from noon until 2:00 pm at the booth inside St Anne’s School Cafeteria, judging will begin at 2:00 pm and prizes will be awarded at approximately 2:30 pm. Please have only one entry per category, but a family can enter as many categories as they like. NO entry fees are required.  There will be ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, gifts for all participants and great prizes for all the 1st place winners.

The categories will include:
·                 Largest Ripe Tomato
·                 Longest Green Onion
·                 Heaviest Cabbage
·                 Largest Bell Pepper
