Seeds of partnership that is. During this coming weekend's Gold Strike Festival the Arvada Gardeners will be again be partnering with Historic Olde Town Arvada (HOTA). They will be volunteering to work most of the shifts in the two Pepsi booths, which are fundraisers for HOTA. They will be selling Pepsi products as well as the now famous Mahnke HOTA Water. The two booths bring in funds that help HOTA sponsor this wonderful event in Olde Town. Then later in the year, at HOTA's Festival of the Scarecrows, the Arvada Gardeners are invited to hold their own fundraiser and sell products from their community garden: Indian corn, gourds, pumpkins and corn stalks. They will also hold their 2nd Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest.
The Arvada Gardeners are a 39 year old service club that operate a community garden at 57th and Garrison and also partner with other organizations in the city.
