Arvada Church to hold 29th Holiday Craft Show
Contributed by: Jeri Lou Maus on 11/19/2008

Holiday gifts galore will be available at the 29th Annual Craft Fair and Cookie Walk Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First United Church of Arvada, 7195 Simms Street in Arvada, on the southwest corner of Simms and West 72nd Avenue. Parking is free.

Forty-six artists and crafters will offer handcrafted gifts, household items and holiday decorations. There will be jewelry, wreaths, wooden tree ornaments, tea towels, dolls, table cloths and place mats, and much more. The 'honey' man is returning, and a handmade quilt by the church's "Quilting Ladies" will be sold at auction.

Chili and hot dogs will be available. Early arrivals will be able to choose their favorite cookies for the holidays. During the "Cookie Walk," people buy empty boxes and fill them with as many homemade cookies as can be put into a box that will be held closed with a rubber band.

There is no charge to shop for holiday gifts at the Craft Fair at First United Church of Arvada, 72nd and Simms, November 28 and 29.
