On May 10, from 12:00-4:00 p.m., Barnes and Noble in the Aurora city place shopping center will host a book sale, signing and open mic. forum for students at Aurora Central High School to read their authored pieces from their newly published book Melting Box of Crayons: True Stories and Poems by Urban High School Students. We invite members of the community to share in this celebration with the Aurora Central authors, families, friends and staff. Superintendent John Barry and members of the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education will be present to honor the students. Please put May 10 on your calendar and join us as we celebrate the success of this new book! Works of art will also be displayed by Aurora Central art students. In addition, this book is intended to be the first of a series of publications, anda percentage of the event's profits will fund the second edition! Come support future writers in our community!
