People who inspired you (and how): My parents, Jeff and Connie Webb, they have lived through many hard times and situations and still maintain their optimism and faith.
How you have contributed to the community: I have served on the Aurora City Council ('97-2005), initiated the Highline Canal Clean-up ('98-08), planted trees along the canal through a city neighborhood grant, am on the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership Board (a non-profit group building a trail from Aurora through Denver to Commerce City to the South Platte river) have served on the Downtown Aurora Visual Arts board of directors (a non-profit to serve the youth of North Aurora), served as a board of director on the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District and been an active member of my neighborhood association for over 25 years.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: The economy, sluggish job market, and transportation. As I have walked nearly every neighborhood in the district and talked with people, they are worried about keeping their jobs, making ends meet in their family budgets, and frustrated with wasting time and gas on congested roads. Citizens want leadership to step up to the plate and begin addressing these critical issues now for the stability of our communities.
