Aurora Rhoer Club is the best in the West winning 2007 Western Region Rhoer Club at the 55th Western Region conference held in Las Vegas Nevada.
Young ladies from area high schools participated locally in a variety of community service projects as members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated Theta Zeta Sigma Chapter Rhoer Club. These young ladies met the challenge to make a difference participating in back-to-school supply drives, toys-for-tots, Ronald McDonald House, Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity and many many other worthwhile community activities.
Applications from Rhoer Clubs representing the West were submitted for review and consideration for top awards. The votes were in and Aurora's Rhoer Club out performed the other clubs by a landslide.
A membership drive on Sunday, September 9th, at the Aurora Central Branch Library Community Room with information on the Rhoer Club will be available for young ladies and their parents in grades 9th through 12th from area high schools.
