The Denver Brass: Echoes of Castles & Cathedrals

Revel in the glorious Denver Brass sound of castles and cathedrals of long ago, and immerse yourself in past eras of chivalry, nobility and musical grace. Join us in the classic chamber setting of Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $23 to $8 - but as a special deal for Denver Arts Week, The Denver Brass is pleased to offer "2 for 1" tickets to patrons who mention this special Arts Week deal! The sound of 14 virtuoso brass players alone is certainly awe-inspiring, but when it's joined by the thrilling force of Bethany Lutheran Church's mighty 48 rank Schantz pipe organ, custom-built for Bethany's acoustics, the result is a sound that must be felt to be believed!...This is a musical experience you won't want to miss! Tickets are available online at www.denverbrass.org or by calling 303-832-HORN(4676).

From Gregorian Chant and Baroque masterpieces to elegant classics and heroic film scores, strains of bygone eras are guaranteed to speak to heart, mind and soul - Bach, Pachelbel, Barber, Suite from Fellowship of the Ring, From Age to Age, Praise the Lord with Drums and Cymbals. The Denver Brass with conductor Ken Singleton, host Charley Samson, and special guest organist Joe Galema will unleash the seat-rumbling power of virtuosic organ and brass!
Organist Joseph Galema is a native of West Lafayette, Indiana. He joined the staff of the United States Air Force Academy in September 1982 and is currently Senior Music Director of Cadet Chapel Activities and Academy Organist. As a featured organ soloist, Dr. Galema has toured throughout the United States, England, France, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States.

Regardless of the theme of the show or the period of the music performed, The Denver Brass places the emphasis on great sound and music that stirs the soul. The organization has diligently designed programs that have lasting impact, and they carefully craft each presentation so that the listening experience is enhanced by witty dialogue, inspiring guest artists, and seamless concert flow. Every production is "more than a concert!" Presented at the acoustically magnificent Bethany Lutheran Church, "Echoes of Castles and Cathedrals" will feature the sound of pure brass and organ, without any amplification or sonic manipulation. In addition, the Brass' host Charley Samson will provide unique and engaging insight into the music performed. Great ambience and a special emphasis on engaging the audience will enhance the listening experience by stimulating all the senses. The organization strives to ensure that there is something for everyone at every Denver Brass event!
