The South Metro Denver REALTOR Association and the Aurora Association of REALTORS have endorsed Cathy Noon in her race to be the next Mayor of Centennial.
"The South Metro Denver REALTOR Association and Aurora Association of REALTORS support candidates who work to enhance and protect property values, have a depth of experience in planning and development, and strive for a rich, vibrant community," said Bill Bradish, Chairman of the candidate interview team. "Cathy Noon has our support because of her experience as a neighborhood leader and her demonstrated commitment to the preservation of property values."
Bradish noted that Noon's eight years as Chair of the Centennial Council of Neighborhoods (CenCON) has given her valuable experience representing property-owner concerns to the city. As CenCON Chair, Noon has reviewed and provided comments on all land development cases brought before the City, as well as many brought before Arapahoe County. Noon also served on the task force to write Centennial's first Comprehensive Plan and is now a member of the task force rewriting Centennial's Land Development Code and Zoning.
In accepting their support, Noon emphasized that this endorsement comes from REALTORS who live and work in our community, not from an outside interest group. "Their support is special to me because these are businesspeople who know our neighborhoods and who understand property values," said Noon.
Centennial's election is an all mail-in ballot, with ballots due on Election Day, November 3, 2009.
