Entering their 31st year, the Aurora Singers traversed the globe in 80 minutes in two spectacular performances this past weekend. Including songs from Japan, Italy, Mexico, Wales, among other, the community choir put on another stunning show.
The show opened with new host,
Jeff Walters, acting as captain of the fantastic journey of 80 minutes. He had the audience laughing as he transitioned them from one country to the next.
Beginning in Lesotho, the Singers toured the audience through Japan, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Carribean, Mexico. Highlights included the young Highland Dancing duo of
Megan and
Katlyn Maloney, as well as, solos by
Deb Cross,
Sandy Neely and
Laurel Laumann. The performance ended in an exciting square dance to a medley of American Folk Songs.
