Political Power of Cartoons Featured at Northfield Stapleton during Democratic National Convention
Political Cartoons from Local and National Newspapers Auctioned to Support Denver Kids, Inc. The Shops at Northfield Stapleton and Borders Books, Music & Movies today announced they are hosting an auction of political cartoons in honor of Denver's hosting the Democratic National Convention. The auction will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 28 and 29 with proceeds supporting Denver Kids, Inc.
Approximately 25 original, or first copy, editorial cartoons have been autographed for sale. A minimum bid of $25 is required.
Most of the contributors are members of The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.
In addition to national cartoonists, three local Denver editorial cartoonists have submitted their work including: Two from Mike Keefe,
The Denver Post; four from John Sherffius,
Boulder Daily Camera; and four from Karl Wimer,
Denver Business Journal
The editorial cartoons will be displayed at Borders Books, Music & Movies on Main Street, The Shops at Northfield Stapleton I-70 & Quebec Street. Plenty of Free Parking is available.
