City closings & limited hours for holiday weekend


The Aurora Municipal Center and Municipal Courts will be closed on July 3 in observance of Independence Day. The city offices will reopen on Monday, July 6.

Bicentennial Park will be closed all day on July 4 in preparation for the fireworks display. All other city parks are open through the holiday weekend.

Fourth of July Spectacular
Join your friends and neighbors at Aurora's eighth annual Independence Day Celebration, Fourth of July Spectacular, at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 Alameda Parkway, on the Great Lawn, featuring the largest fireworks display in the metro area. The Air Force Academy Falconaires Jazz Band will perform at 7 p.m. followed by the Air Force Academy Concert Band. After the concerts, enjoy a huge fireworks display with patriotic simulcast provided by KEZW radio.
