My name: Ed Tauer

My age: 48 9/9/59

My family:Wife Betsy, kids Lisa and Ryan

Education: B.S. in Engineering from CSU, MBA from CU Denver.

What I do: the best job in Colorado-Mayor for the people of Aurora

My favorite place in town to hang out: tie: City Place and the Main Street at Southlands

What I like most about living here:Aurora is a big city that feels like a small town. Everyday I run into people I know from when I was a kid.

My interests and hobbies:family activities, making wood furniture and sports

My favorite thing to cook: Pasta

People who inspired me (and how): My parents: they raised 8 kids and are as much in love today as they were 40 years ago.

How I have contributed to the community: I believe I have been a key part in some of Aurora's most important projects including Fitzsimmons, the SportsPark, many neighborhood programs and bringing jobs to our city.

The biggest issues facing Aurora now: We have great neighborhoods; bringing them together as a single community is a key to our future.

Why I am running: Aurora is becoming the city in Colorado. I'd like to help lead us there.
