On 4/12 I wrote an article about busy intersections, RTD, poor lighting and traffic lights.
I got an e-mail fowarded to me from the Traffic Department at the Aurora City Hall. They said they had it brought to their attention. So what appears in YourHub does make the rounds in Aurora.
The pictures I've attached are of the two bridges/overpasses on Tower Rd. between Colfax and Smith Rd. along Sand Creek Trail .
As you can see there's a fair amount of wear and decay on the columns. Alot of exposed rebar. What the pictures don't show are all the cracks along the top of the columns with large pieces just waiting to fall off.
I personally don't think there's any immanent danger for the bridges/overpasses. But I certainly don't think it would hurt to have a City Safety Engineer check it out.
What's that old chestnut? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Let's see if City Hall is paying attention.

I'm no expert, but some of those photos seem to show a need for immediate attention - engineers, you reading this?
