Born to be wild

Driving through the Stapleton Community the other day on Martin Luther King Blvd. to merge with Quebec I had the misfortune to come upon two mini bikes, not even the ever popular Vespa's, in traffic going maybe a whole 20 mph doing the same as I merging to go north on Quebec.

These two individuals seemingly more on a joy ride was totally unaware of the hazard they created for themselves and everyone else in traffic. Particularly me!

I know the rage right now and rightfully so is to conserve fuel and be as green as Martians. But people need to use their heads on what is wise and proper to be driven in traffic.

Now I got to admit this was one of those traffic situations where patience and a few words went out the window. For the plain and simple fact these two Knuckle Heads without so much as a hand signal cut into the merging lane almost causing me to run over the top of one. And turning to give me a dirty look to boot!

I guess the point of this whole rant is to keep anything 50cc and under off busy city streets. It's only a matter of time before someone runs over the top of someone if it hasn't happened already.

There fine on side streets in places like the Stapleton Community and any other planned community. But keep them there.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this experience with these safety challenged individuals. Do we want to turn into Boulder with their smug I-own-the-road bicyclists or do as Barney Fife would say, Nip it in the Bud before it becomes a problem?

Thanks for posting Rob, this is a very good issue - we need to make sure we are sharing the road but also being safe!
