A 2-vehicle accident occurred Feb. 20 at 3:25 p.m., in the intersection of East 11th Avenue and Quari Street.
A Fire Department Battalion Chief vehicle was responding to a reported structure fire, when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male pulled into its path.
The youth and the chief were both transported to The Medical Center of Aurora for treatment and observation of minor injuries. The youth was treated for a minor concussion, and both parties were set to be released this evening.
A summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle will be issued to the youth.
