A contractor working near eastbound Arapahoe Road at Jordan Road hit a water main line resulting in a right lane closure on eastbound Arapahoe Road and a full closure of southbound Jordan Road.
The closure is expected to be in place through this evening's rush hour and likely tomorrow morning's rush hour as crews need to repair the water main break and make repairs to the roadway. Major delays are expected, especially during tonight's evening rush hour and alternate routes are strongly advised.
The contractor is not a CDOT contractor, but is working on Arapahoe Road with a permit. It is expected that all lanes will reopen tomorrow morning. More information will be released if the situation changes.
