Last October we decided we needed to look for a new dog since our dog Jake was quite sickly.
Dennis wanted a Jack Russell and loves the terrier breed. Years ago he had a Pit Bull that was a very loving and intellient dog. I always got my dogs from the pound and always a large dog of 100+ pounds.
Jake was a momma's boy and I was very attached to him. All I knew is that I never wanted to be without a dog. So off we went to look at Jack Russell's and ended up bringing home the first one we saw.
And what a joy he has been. They are very entertaining, smart, very easy to train, and a bundle of affection. We named him Skeeter because Jake was 110 pounds and this little guy will be about 16-20 pounds at most.
They definetely are a big dog in a small dog's suit. They are for sure size challenged. He is only 6 months old and already we are madly in love with this small critter.
I highly recommend this breed to anyone who has time to spend with it and loves to be entertained. We will have many fun years to come. This summer he will learn to fish. Ya right.
