Pittsburgh, PA - Chatham University ice hockey player
April Govednik (Gateway High School) was named Women's West Player of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Chatham won its first game of the season on Sunday, January 20, besting SUNY Oswego 4-3. April totaled four points for the week including a goal and two assists in Sunday's game.
April, daughter of

Gayle Govednik of Aurora, is a sophomore majoring in Professional Communications/Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. She is a graduate of Gateway High School.
