APS Nutrition Department Best in State
Contributed by: Mary Margaret Rangel on 4/4/2008

The Nutrition Services department in APS is one of the best in the state, according to a recent audit by the Colorado Department of Education.

Auditors say Linda Dallman is an excellent director and one of the best in Colorado. She has been with the district for 21 years and her dedication shows.

"School food service is a very physically and mentally demanding job," said Dallman. "It takes real dedication from all of our employees to get the job done. I am so honored to be working with such a great group of employees. They make my job so much easier because I know I can trust them to carry out their job with great professionalism each and every day. We are a team in Nutrition Services, from our substitutes to our assistants, to our managers, to our bakery and to our office staff. We all serve the same purpose: help our students achieve their maximum potential!"

Out of 46 audits in the past year, the group ranked Dallman and APS Nutrition Services as one of the top three in the state. Auditors rated the group on a scale of 1-10 as a solid 10.

Child Nutrition Employee Appreciation Week is May 5-9. Dallman encourages everyone to go down to the school kitchen and tell the employees how important they are to your school team and students.

Congrats to Dallman and all who are part of APS Nutrition Services!
