Open your heart, and your home, to foster children
Did you know there are 513,000 American children in foster care because their own families are in crisis?
May is National Foster Care Month. All young people, including those in foster care, deserve and benefit from enduring relationships with caring adults. Across the country, people just like you are helping these children and teens build brighter futures by serving as their foster parents, relative caregivers, mentors, advocates, social workers and volunteers.
But much more help is needed
.
The Children and Family Center of Adams County will host a free foster care and adoption information workshop on Thursday, May 15, 6:30 - 8 p.m., at the Children and Family Center, 7401 N. Broadway.
No matter how much time you have to give, you have the power to do something positive that will
"
Change a Lifetime
"
for a young person in foster care. For more information on how you can make a difference, please call 303.412.KIDS (5437) or visit
