Family of three displaced by fire

Shortly after 8 a.m. Feb. 12, a fire was reported at 314 S.Yost St. in Aurora. This duplex residence was evacuated prior to the arrival of the Aurora Fire Department, and all occupants exited the home safely. The fire investigations unit determined it was accidental and started in the kitchen.

The family oftwo adults andone child will be displaced, but Red Cross is helping them find accommodations. The other unit of the duplex is fine and the occupants were able to go back inside. Total damage estimate is $50,000 and no injuries were reported.
