Once again, Colorado ShowStarz showed the nation that Colorado's youth are ready for the world of competitive All-Star Cheerleading. Through the adversities that Colorado ShowStarz has faced this season, Coach Andrea Mathes-Dynes and her Colorado ShowStarz cheerleaders went to Richmond VA and swept the competition.
Known for their dynamic energy, action and SHOWSTARZ FLAVA', the girls gave this east coast audience a true show. The girls worked hard after bringing home a national title in December to prepare for the level that east coast cheerleading is known for.
Coach Andrea
admits that going east coast was scary and she wasn't sure what was in store for the team but " I'm going to do what I do best and give them the show of a lifetime. That's why I named the team ShowStarz, cause we bring a show all the time."
Truly amazing is the fact that the senior team changed the whole routine in VA and with three hours of practice, gave the best performance they have shown this year-brining home a first place and national title against some awesome teams.
The sport of All-Star cheerleading is just picking up in Colorado but has been a major part of youth sports throughout the east coast and the south for years. Coach Andrea built Colorado ShowStarz from scratch in 1999 and has continued to show strength and determination in teaching all ages and all races the importance of discipline and respect on and off the floor. The only minority All-Star owner and with the only majority minority team in the state, Coach Andrea stresses the importance of being proud of who each cheerleader is as an athlete and as a person. Coach Andrea has overcame many adversities this season to lead the team to three national titles this year and 13 national titles overall.
The Colorado ShowStarz family is truly grateful for Coach Andrea and her dedication to the youth of Colorado. She is the best coach in the nation. To learn more about Colorado ShowStarz and the programs offered contact the hotline at 720-299-0968 or visit us at
