Make this Mother's Day extra sweet with a pie from McDonald's!
Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization's Rocky Mountain Affiliate announced today that McDonald's is donating a portion of their Mother's Day weekend pie sales to support "The Walk to Empower," Y-ME's annual breast cancer fund raising event.
"We are very excited to have McDonald's returning this year as a local sponsor of our event and we appreciate all of their support with the walk," said Executive Director Sheri Clark of the Y-ME Rocky Mountain Affiliate.
Local McDonald's restaurants expect to raise more than $10,000 for the Y-ME Rocky Mountain Affiliate to help ensure that no one in Colorado faces breast cancer alone. Y-ME and McDonald's are here today for those who can't wait for tomorrow's cure.
Y-ME Rocky Mountain Affiliate is hosting its third annual Walk to Empower at 9 a.m. this Sunday, May 11, in Denver's City Park.
Y-ME offers the only multilingual, 24-hour hotline staffed entirely by trained breast cancer survivors, who answer more than 41,000 calls per year. Y-ME Rocky Mountain Affiliate also offers support groups, breast health awareness workshops and out reach programs for anyone touched by breast cancer.
For breast cancer support or information including publications and newsletters, visit www.y-me.org or call the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Hotline at 1-800-221-2141 (English, with interpreters available in 150 languages) or 1-800-986-9505 (Spanish).
