Cherokee graduates from Cherokee Trail High School

Makayla Collins, a member of the federally recognized Cherokee Tribe is graduating on May 23rd, 2008 from Cherokee Trail H.S. Makayla was a member of the CTHS Girls Tennis Team for 3 years. She's also been quite an active volunteer in her spare time. She's an outstanding photographer, one of her photos won the Principals Choice Award at the CTHS art show in 2007. Fulfilling her childhood dream, Makayla will be attending the Art Institute of Colorado in the fall. She'll be able to further her wonderful talents in photography and art.
