This is an extraordinary repository of the most salient and penetrating information ever.I promise. I'm disarmingly trustworthy.

CU-Boulder's Campus Press Shake-up!
Contributed by: Jimmy Jazz   on 10/18/2006

I don't know if anyone on this site reads www.TheCampusPress.com (the new home of CU's "Campus Press" since it went online-only) but there is some very spicy business taking place.

If you visit the site, you'll see a very vitriolic editorial that accuses CU administration of meddling with The Campus Press and pushing decisions through without consent of the editorial staff.

A lot of students I spoke to in the School of Journalism are bracing for sweet, sweet "Freedom of Speech" drama. I'll post again once more information is available.

Also, "pugofwar" posted a screenshot of the editorial at http://community.livejournal.com/cu_boulder in case someone deletes it from the site.

Thoughts?

If you're worried about someone removing the editorial from the site, there is definitely some cause for concern about who's in control of the site. Were the CP blogs actually deleted over the summer or did they just go on summer break?

I used to be on CP staff last year. There's crazy stuff that's happening over there and is sure to spark a large (and, I assure you, very heated) debate. Keep us updated, please!
