Treasurer Lefebvre deserves re-election
Contributed by: Todd Cordrey on 10/9/2006

Treasurer John Lefebvre has been the Adams County Treasurer since Jan. 1, 2003. In that time he has been a great advocate for the county, and one of the best county treasurers' the county has ever seen. He has reduced the Treasurer's budget from $1.8 million to $1.1 million, and in the process he has reduced the cost of each tax bill by 100 percent. He has brought technology to his office and continues to find new ways to run the treasurer's office more efficiently. He has done more than reduce costs for the county; he has identified and collected monies due to the county. He has transformed his office to one of the premier county treasurer's offices in the state.

On the personal side of the ledger; he brings a master's degree in Public Administration, bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and 24 years of private sector experience to his office. He also excels in the world of investments; and is a noted author or co-author of three books in the field.

He is an honest and conscientious man who works hard everyday to earn the right to be a public servant. He is exactly the type of person we can all endorse as an exemplary county leader. I ask you to join me in supporting Lefebvre in his re-election for Adams County Treasurer.
