Blog Entry 2 of 3 Be Safe On The Streets
My name is Joshua and I live in Westminster. As we all know, crime is everywhere. My focus is in Boulder, Colorado. Everywhere I go I'm always hearing how unsafe people feel when they attend a college football game or when they go shopping. Boulder has always been known for being one of the nicest cities in Colorado, and having a great college football team along with being a great school for higher education. If I'm pumping gas or shopping for food, I always overhear about an attack, hate crime, and just plain violence in the schools. I think to myself that it can't be that bad, till I started hearing it from the people that go to college, and live there. I would like to help educate people on the use of non-lethal self defense products. Please help me fight the war on crime.

These titles were pulled off of the Boulder Hub and are based on what has happened in your area within the last few weeks, not to mention all of the other crimes that are going on in other parts of colorado, like in the church shootings.

Your probably saying, "tell me something I don't already know about crime."

Well let me remind you, because sometimes we tend to get comfortable in our surroundings:

While you and your family were sleeping, burglars accidentally targeted your neighbor's house, when it could have been yours (random burglars).

You're at the park with your family laughing with your kids on the swings and from 7 feet away someone is planning on raping your kids, stealing your wallet, checking out your wife thinking bondage-type acts.

Or maybe your neighbor across the street beats his wife, molests his kids, and has played with your child's penis when your kid is playing over with his kids, then as he gets the morning paper, he smiles, when you see him, as if nothing ever happens.

Here is a true story. Months ago, a 5 year old child was abducted, raped, and was found staggering down a sidewalk as she bled from her vagina.

There is no way to sugar coat crime. It is real. You could be selfish and be that person that says "what's this world coming to" or you can join me on my mission to prevent crime. If you don't want to do it ask somebody you think does.

What I'm saying is we get too comfortable in our everyday lives and think it won't happen to us, but it can, and it might.

We never think about the criminals thought process, they are a different breed of people, I don't doubt they think like this.
