Blog Entry 45 of 63 Different Rhymes for Different Times
Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

When you cry, I cry

When you laugh, I laugh
my beautiful rose

I'm laughing right now, laughing from the pain
of the day I fell in love when we were running in the rain
The calm before the storm, the warm before the cold
the days and nights together before it started to unfold

And when you hurt, I hurt
that's the way it goes

I'm hurting right now, hurting from the pain
of the day I watched you leave on that midnight plane
Where it was flying, to this day, I still don't know
but it seems like yesterday that I had to watch you go

When you smile, I smile
ear to ear

I'm smiling right now, smiling from the pain
of the day you came back, there was no need to explain
I know we tried to make it work but it wasn't meant to be
You had to let me go, and I had to set you free

And when you cry, I cry
tear for tear

I'm crying right now, crying from the pain
of the day I asked myself, was it right to break the chain?
Could I have tried harder to never let you go?
Could I have saved our love? But now I'll never know

When you laugh, I laugh
my beautiful rose
And when you hurt, I hurt
that's the way it goes
When you smile, I smile
ear to ear
And when you cry, I cry
tear for tear
