Sorry I haven't been blogging lately, work and life have been very hectic for a couple of weeks.
A little while ago I was running an errand (well, technically, walking an errand) when I saw a bunch of papers fluttering at the intersection of Illini & Manhattan in SE Boulder. When I got up to the intersection, I saw that someone had dropped or tossed a manilla folder which was now disgorging its contents -- and also a Nokia phone in a leather carrying case.
Not being a fan of litter, whether intentional or accidental, I started gathering up the papers and scooped up the phone. Some kind people in a white truck stopped to help.
So now I've got this phone. And a bunch of papers -- it appears to be a printout of Boulder Businesses from a database.
I've never found a cell phone before, I'm not sure what to do to find the owner. Suggestions, please?
UPDATE: The phone is now back with its owner! Here's what I did -- I called my phone from the found cell phone, and captured its number on my caller ID. I then called the cell, and heard a VM message for the owner, "Cindy," and was able to page her.
...Not that this helped. A short while later, Cindy (who was trying to find her phone) called her own cell number and I answered! She's local, so I told her where to come. She now has her phone, and her papers, back.
Good deed done!
