This week I've had the unusual but fun experience of having a videographer chase me around town.
GO Boulder is recording a video interview/profile of me that will run on Boulder's Channel 8municipal TV. It's amazing how much time it takes to shoot something that will be edited down to just a few minutes!
I've never done anything like this before, so it's been fun to work with Channel 8's
Jeane Woods and GO Boulder's
Andrea Robbins. Much to my relief, this isn't a stiff profile piece. Jeane came up with a fun documentary-style script that begins with the camera team semi-stalking me. It's overlapped with voiceover posts to this blog. I think you'll get a sense in this of how busy I've been lately -- which is why I havent' been posting much to this blog.
In a short while, I'm biking downtown to conclude the final portion of the shoot -- an interview by the
Daily Camera building, and the me getting onto a bus looking like I'm going to a meeting in Denver. At least, that's the plan.
Looking out my window, it looks pretty cloudy. Channel 8 won't let its nice camera out in any rain. Rain, as you might recall, was an issue on Tuesday when we started the shoot. As I was midway through biking downtown Tuesday afternoon to meet Jeane and Andrea to conclude the shoot, we had a downpour. I arrived totally drenched -- and since the rain wasn't stopping, we rescheduled for this morning to conclude the shoot.
The funny thing was, I had a blast barreling down the Creek Path in the rain. I really, really love my cruiser! It flies!
Anyway, fingers crossed for the shoot this morning...
