Blog Entry 56 of 60 Carless in Boulder
What it's like to voluntarily go carless as a way of life in Boulder, Colorado.

What are these B-360 signs?
Contributed by: Amy Gahran   on 6/4/2007

Along bike paths around town, I've been noticing these little temporary-looking signs that say "B-360" or "B-180." What are these? I searched around online but couldn't find a direct answer. The closest I came wa a mention of some special event ride called "Boulder-360" on this page in the Boulder Bicycle Commuters site.

I'm guessing these signs point out a route for circumnavigating all or half of Boulder. But I don't really know. If you know what these signs are for, please comment below.

Maybe I'll find out tonight. If I can scramble and meet a story deadline, I'll stop by the monthly Boulder Bicycle Commuters meeting -- held 7pm tonight at the main public library downtown.
So now, I must write like the wind -- then ride like the wind! Hopefully I'll solve this riddle, too.

Aha! My colleague and fellow bikaholic Justin Crawford explained it. It is indeed a public event. Details here: http://tinyurl.com/392ykf Thanks!

Well, I stopped by that meeting (which was great), but I totally forgot to ask about these signs! I'm still stumped. - Amy Gahran
