OK, I'd be posting a photo with this, but I'm downtown (at Prima restaurant, just off Pearl St. in Boulder) and although I have my camera, I forgot my USB cable.

So a little while ago I was speaking to an undergrad journalism class at CU Boulder. After that was done, I strolled from the CU campus down 17th St. toward Pearl, since I wanted to hang out for a couple of hours before attending a meeting on mosquito control at city hall at 6.

Anyway, if you didn't notice, today's weather was GORGEOUS!!!! i couldn't believe that just yesterday I was hunkered down in my home office, staring balefully out at falling snow. Today, I didn't even bring a jacket. Sunny, light breeze, temp somewhere in the high 60s....

And then, the classic Amy moment.

I was on 17th, somewhere between Arapahoe and Canyon, just looking around and grooving on the weather. I glance behind me and saw a cute college guy. Long curly hair, nice smile, just really easy on the eyes. As my eyes turned back to look where I was going, I found myself going down.

Yeah, I'd tripped right over a curb, and went into a complete sprawl right there on the sidewalk.

Smooth, Amy. Smooth.

Well, no damage done. I picked myself up and proceeded. Concerned, the college guy asked me if I was OK. And then right after that he met up with a woman in his own age range whom he obviously knew and felt comfortable enough with to slip his arm around her waist.

Smooth.

I was laughing at myself for at least another hour. Good thing I'm easily amused.
