I love those lean-back bikes. OK, I don't remember what they're realy called, but they're low bikes where your legs are out near horizontal in front, with pedals ahead of you rather than under you, and you lean back in the seat. Much easier on the back, I find. My friend Jeff has one and I've demoed it -- but they're way too pricey for me.
Or so I thought.
Last week, as I was waiting to catch the bus at the stop in front of the Mennonite Church on Table Mesa, I noticed the bike pictured here locked up in the rack. Someone especially ingenious and/or impoverished hacked their own lean-back bike. Complete with basket. And even upholstery.
Gotta love Boulder!

"Recumbent" is the word you're looking for, but I think "sweet ride" works just as well.
