Got a small plumbing job and don't want to pay big
Does the sink clog up on you every month? Wondering if you need a water filter and what type should you get? How about paying someone to winterize your sprinklers and swamp cooler when you could do it for next to nothing. When is it time to call in a professional and what do I look for in choosing one. I am a master plumber who's been in the business for 25 years. I've worked for many outfits (some reputable, some not) and I'm here to help as I dive into the world of journalism. C'mon in and lay on the couch...now...what's bothering you? Contact Dr. Plumb by clicking "send me a message" in the contributor information box

During my most recent semester at Metro State, an extra-credit assignment was offered in my journalism class. My instructor asked that we write our own obituary with no limits as to the content (keeping it clean).
You can't ask for better extra-credit than that my friend. Yes, the thought of being dead is grim but inject a little humor into it and.......well, go ahead and read it.
I hope you don't find it objectional as the piece is written in fun.
Famed plumber passes
Denver- Micheal Gieger, who served mankind for most of his life, died last night in his bathroom claiming "Here comes the big one."
Known to many as the "Godfather of Plumb", his dedication to helping his fellow man will live on through the organization, Preservation of Outrageous Obituaries for Plumbers (POOP), which he began 10 years ago.
POOP ensures a place to "go" for all humanity by providing a fully trained plumber when the need arises. The organization's president, Bud McCrack said, "Mike's aim was to relieve himself, and others of unforeseen plumbing hazards. He was no drip."
Mr. Gieger's wife, Melanie added, "Micheal grew up in the toilet but rose above his crappy surroundings to become a better person. His generosity overflowed to the hearts of others."
She also reminisced about their first meeting, "My sink was clogged and he came over to fix it. A flood of emotions overtook me. Once I saw the bill I started crying. He took some toilet paper and wiped away my tears". From then on she was his number one and he was her number two.
Gieger was buried with three magazines in a casket lined with Charmin Squeezably Soft, as was his final request. Mrs. Gieger also left the casket lid up during burial saying, "He would have wanted it that way."
Later,
Dr. Plumb
p.s.- Don't send any flowers, I'm still kickin'.
I do appreciate all comments.
