Blog Entry 4 of 4 Stevyn Ironfeather's Ramblings
Just me rambling on about my projects and interactions with fellow humans in Colorado.

Last night I went to Bushwackers Saloon to see the TOUCHING MORONS perform. Towards the end of the set I projected some 16mm film footage of traffic and people talking onto the band and background to amuse myself mostly :)

The guys rocked and I enjoyed the scene. Half biker bar, half punk rock and a pinch of locals thrown in for good measure. Everyone was laid back and no attitudes. I will go back to this place for sure.

Bonus was seeing Frog, Darci and Gabe from Punk Horror Press at the scene also.

I dude sat next to me with a notebook, on the corner he had drawn a cool sketch. He ripped it out after noticing me viewing it, he gave it to me. I said awesome, I will scan it in and before I could mention zine or blog he took it back and said it was not good enough. He will make me another drawing someday.

We talked about books and he told me his favorites are Chuck Palahnick's "Survivor", Christopher Moore's "Lamb", Tom Robbin's "Still Life WIth Woodpecker" and Octavia Butler's "Kindred"

I did not tell him about my shop but instead allowed him to tell of his favorites, and also the good news that he is working on a novel. I encouraged him to go for it and even pointed out Gabe a local publisher right there in the Saloon! I told him I would help with press also.

His name is Frank, catch him at the place on Thursdays for Punk Rock. He knew all the words to the songs and enjoyed it.

I said by goodbyes and left early. I bought food at the market and returned to my friends house to make a meal. As I was sitting on the couch, I watched as a moth flittered around the room. I was surprised to see that the dog ignored it. Could he not see it? I realized that Katnip would have been chasing the moth relentlessly. I watched as the moth skipped about in the air, right over the dog, right close to me and suddenly it was gone and I felt it in my mouth.
