Attention all gals who graduated from CU-Boulder:
There are entirely too many intriguing ladies who graduated from CU and are kicking a$$ locally, nationally or globally. Wherever you may find yourself these days, I'm looking for gals to contribute to a bi-weekly posting called the
CU Grad Gab.
Here's how it will work:
The posting will be broken into various categories ranging from fashion updates to health tips to sex advice to any desired topic that reveals your expertise and insight. It will basically be your own mini-column that will link back to a main posting describing where you are currently, what you're up to, what qualifies your expertise, etc.
All that's required:
Simply e-mail me a fun picture and description of yourself and be prepared to submit a paragraph or two (or even one sentence with a link) on whatever tickles your word-spreading fancy for your particular area of expertise every other week. Once you commit, I'll send you all the necessary details. To get things rolling, let me know if you're interested by Dec. 7. E-mail me at
horvatb@yourhub.com and tell me what you're thinking.
It's never too late to get involved, so chew on it and/or spread the word to other CU grads!
Here's what I'm looking at as far as categories (and there's no limit as to how many people can be associated):
* Most importantly, there are no limits to topics. Below is a list of working ideas and I'm totally open to anything else. From gardening to rocket science - anything goes.
<3 Art (Even if you're in New York, update us on an upcoming artist or share pictures from an exhibit over the weekend or that crazy graffiti you stumbled upon in Brooklyn.)
<3 Fashion (What crazy trends have you been seeing where you live? What do you love/hate? What online stores have you discovered lately? Any ladies with a locally owned biz totally making it happen?)
<3 Music (Post a myspace link to your newest musical liking or tell us about a band that just came through your city.)
<3 Health (What little facts are you discovering during nursing school or interning or simply reading up on your health that you'd like to share?)
<3 Sex (Maybe you are full of sex advice. You could provide your e-mail so people could send anonymous questions ... and you could dish out your informative responses.)
<3 Your business (Maybe you already own your own. Perhaps include updates, brag all you want, and dish advice on what works and what doesn't.)
<3 Tales from the J.O.B. (Maybe you're working with kids or teaching for the first time in your life. Share a funny quote from one of the kids, blab about what you love and hate about it, dish advice on getting into your field, etc.)
<3 Still stuck on CU (Maybe you work for the university now. Keep us in the know on the inside stuff.)
The possibilities are endless, and as you can see, I'm excited. This is a work in progress, and I'm open to any suggestions and ideas.
SO ... let me know by Dec. 7 if you're interested in contributing and being a part of the first online issue. From there, we will get things rolling. Again, it's never too late to hop on the CU grad gabbin' wagon. (Cheesy, I know.)
