I'm Megan, I'm a college freshman at CSU. Writing is one of two passions (children being the other) and I tend to lean towards poetry to make me happy! I love to write and I love constructive criticism.

You've built up your wall
to make a cage for me,
where you can keep your watchful eye
on my every move, my every thought.
I feel your hand,
holding me back from what i want,
what I need,
to survive.
My very heart and soul
my eternal happiness
rest in your hands,
your hands alone.
Please don't hurt me;
but you already have-
the hidden scars exist
in my mind, on my heart
It's your job to see
that I am happy and healthy
but I feel my life
being sucked from me
every time you place
another brick on your wall,
another layer on my cage.
