Golf + Wakeboarding + Half Moon Skinny Dipping = THE BEST FOURTH EVER.
You add some some BBQ and fireworks to the mix and it will surpass any Fourth of July celebration you ever had. Plus I got to spend the entire time with one of my best College buddies. It should be illegal to have that much fun. Without stoping. Nonstop fun. Who would have thought that in the middle of nowhere in Iowa, such an affluent subculture of Freedom Loving, America Loving, Rich Boaters....who like to drink....alot....tons. Basically, i need to go on a vacation after that vacation....just me and my liver. No more 1987 Merlots to get in the between us. No more Dewers. No more days of drinking beer after beer while lounging around on a boat. The damn boats had coolers built right in to hold copius amounts of brew. Turns out you are capable of being way more drunk and controling a motorboat, than to operate and automobile. Checks out, i guess. Boats tend to stay away frim other boats, regardless of BAC.

But all the fun stuff isn't even the interesting part of the story. The real good stuf get going when you realize, that I have been in this free-thinking radical left commie pinko town in Colorado known as Boulder, for the past 5 years. Yes, I am not a big fan of Bush-Not a huge war guy. So you can imagine my semi-surprise when I notice pictures of the my buddie's mom shaking hands with Tricky Dick Chenney. I am in the presence of good old fashioned, card carryting republicans. You couldn't write this any better for a WBS (Web Based Sitcom). I even get to hear stories from family freinds who have worked with ol' W. Met the guy personally. In fact, W seems like a good dude to "have a beer with." Thats about all he sounds capable of from the stories i heard. Ill tell you something else, Republicans have the best Bush impressions. But what I learned was quiet important to me. Even old-fashioned Consevatives can get along great with a New-Age Liberal like myself. Maybe its the wine talking.... but I don't see all Republicans as Blood Sucking Demons of the Night any more....just the ones in office.
