Boulder, Colo.-From June 1 through September 1, 2007, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art presents the work of Alan Feltus, Lani Irwin, Mary Ehrin, and David Zimmer. In "Two Views" Feltus and Irwin present their enigmatic paintings that explore the liminal space between figures and objects. Ehrin, in "Town and Country," shows her new paintings, sculptures, and photographs. Using a
mise en scène approach to create an interior realm of mystery, "Town and Country" represents the expression of a personal narrative through objects and images which surround the viewer in a stage-like setting. In "Ether," installation artist Zimmer exhibits a new series of his intriguing sculptures that manage to be simultaneously retro and futuristic. The exhibit opens Friday, June 1 with a public reception from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and is free of charge. There will also be a museum member's preview reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the same evening in which the artists will give a short gallery tour.
