Description:
If you're a trail user - whether hiker, biker or runner - volunteering to be a park host for Boulder County Parks and Open Space is a great way to give back to the community while you enjoy the outdoors.
Park hosts enhance the experience of visitors and help Boulder County Parks and Open Space by being our eyes and ears on the trail.
As a park host, you'll patrol some of Boulder County's premier open spaces, providing park visitors with information about the cultural and natural history of parks, recreational opportunities, facilities, and regulations.
An important part of the department's field staff, park hosts keep visitors updated about current resource management issues and answer visitor's questions about the parks. You will also be invited to special events and trainings.
After a two-day training about our natural and cultural resources and recreational/multiple use issues, you're out on the beautiful Boulder County Open Space properties wearing a Park Host shirt and nametag.
Free training will be held on two Saturdays, April 25 and May 2, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Application deadline for the next training is Thursday, April 16.
